OE Presents Our Story At National Museum Of The Pacific War
OE Meet With several WWII heroes, historians, and the public.
Dec. 7th, 2007
As part of the Dec 7th Pearl Harbor Day Recognition Event OE was asked to present a status report on our WWII documentary project. The George Bush Gallery conference room filled quickly and we were excited to bring in extra chairs, it made us feel very proud to know so many people were interested in our project. What an honor it was to be part of this day of recognition. Even more impressive was the attendance of several WWII vets who were in Pearl Harbor on Dec 7th not to mention some of them were later stationed in Papua New Guinea. John managed to keep to our allotted 90 minutes while I managed the laptop displaying over 200 images. The presentation included a comprehensive history of our team, the technology we are deploying, how we are documenting our expeditions, the various conservation groups we are working with, our objectives, a complete geography of the Western Pacific Basin, the results of our 2006 and 2007 expeditions, and our plans for future expeditions. OE wishes to thank our family, friends, the staff of the Museum, and all those who made this day a very memorable day for John and myself.
