HEADHUNTER Concept

From 2006 to 2016, the Oceanic Expeditions team will explore the waters of Borgen Bay and the seas surrounding West New Britain. Utilizing advanced technology the team will search for aviation & naval wreckage of World War Two, and comprehensively explore and film the regions rich environments on land and sea. Fascinating historical information, stunningly unique images, and a compelling story of adventure and exploration combine to produce a truly exceptional production.

Beautiful and unique critters and locations can hold a viewers attention, but couple that to bleeding edge technology employed to unlock the historic and natural secrets of the region, undertaken by an intelligent and aggressive exploratory team, telling a directed inspiring story, and a much larger audience is attracted and sustained.

The plan calls for up to a decade of exploration and filming. Given the time scale of the expedition we will undoubtedly make new discoveries and possibly capture unique moments of natural behavior, or even locate one of our prime relics of World War Two.
While in this remote, lush, marine environment, the team will also make observations on ocean geography/geology, marine biology, and other disciplines of discovery.

The team for the HEADHUNTER Expedtions will be expert divers with other key parallel skills. They will combine efforts to bring this epic expedition to fruition, joining around the central ‘Mission’. This mission gives the expedition a clear defined sense of purpose and direction. Along the way the team will face challenges that will test our technology, skill, and ingenuity, at times to the limit.

Above all, the production will be powerful and unique! Capturing the moments of true discovery by a team of dedicated marine explorers will not only be entertaining and educational, but done the OE way, will achieve virtual emersion for the viewer. Together we will explore New Britain and share in the exhilaration of discovery.
